Powerwashco:
Environmental Sustainability Commitment
At Powerwashco, we believe environmental stewardship is not a marketing claim, it’s a corporate responsibility. Our approach to sustainability is rooted in operational discipline, compliance with regulatory standards, and measurable practices that support the long, term health of the communities we serve. From stormwater safety to air quality awareness, every service we perform is engineered to reduce harm and improve resilience without compromise.
Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Governance
Powerwashco’s environmental practices are aligned with federal and state regulatory frameworks, including U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines, California State Water Resources Control Board standards, Clean Water Act (CWA) / NPDES Phase II permits, CALGreen Building Standards, Local municipal stormwater ordinances
We operate with full awareness of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for exterior cleaning, ensuring no illicit discharges enter storm drain systems. Our crews are trained to identify and mitigate risks to surface water runoff, and all wastewater collection and disposal follows compliant disposal protocols.
Storm Drain Services and Infrastructure Protection
Our storm drains services—including hydro jetting, vac-truck recovery, and camera line inspections—are structured to prevent localized flooding, reduce pollutant loads, and maintain compliant stormwater infrastructure. All activities are conducted in accordance with MS4 Phase II mandates and NPDES stormwater guidelines. These services help safeguard waterways while restoring the full function of drainage systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Water Conservation and Responsible Use
Our pressure wash systems are designed to minimize freshwater consumption and surface runoff. We utilize reclaim, capable equipment and vac-assisted recovery systems to capture and safely dispose of contaminated water. Through these measures, we reduce water waste by up to 60% compared to conventional surface cleaning.
Biodegradable Chemistry and Surface Safety
We exclusively use nontoxic, biodegradable detergents that meet or exceed EPA Safer Choice criteria. These solutions are selected not only for environmental compatibility, but also for material safety—ensuring surfaces are cleaned without deterioration or chemical etching.
Paver Sealing and Surface Coating Responsibility
When sealing pavers or applying concrete coatings, Powerwashco follows strict containment protocols to prevent overspray, soil exposure, and waterborne contamination. All sealants used are low, VOC and applied with masking techniques that isolate vulnerable drainage zones. Our crews are trained in regional air quality standards and adhere to site, specific environmental precautions.
Striping and Paint Marking Environmental Practices
Our striping and pavement marking services use DOT approved, low VOC traffic paints that meet ASTM D7089 environmental and safety criteria. We implement surface preparation, masking, and containment strategies to ensure paints do not leach into surrounding soils, drains, or landscaped areas. All markings are applied in compliance with state and municipal codes for both traffic visibility and environmental protection.
Pollution Prevention and Storm Drain Protection
Powerwashco deploys storm drain inlet protection during service near high-risk drainage zones. All vacuum, extracted water is disposed of at approved reclamation facilities. No wastewater is allowed to re-enter the municipal water table, in full compliance with regional environmental code. Documentation for water recovery and legal disposal is retained and available upon request. We use permitted waste haulers and disposal facilities aligned with environmental codes.
NetZero Contribution and Carbon Conscious Operations
While Powerwashco is not a certified net-zero entity, our equipment and logistics practices are structured to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 operational emissions. This includes route optimization for mobile fleets, the use of energy, efficient equipment, and the avoidance of unnecessary chemical use through high temperature steam at 250°F.
Community Health and Long-Term Sustainability
Environmental sustainability is not only about what we prevent—but what we protect. By reducing mold, oil runoff, and particulate pollution on public and private property, our services contribute to cleaner, safer, and healthier spaces. We take pride in supporting environmentally conscious property managers and community leaders who expect more than just a clean surface.
Continuous Improvement and Environmental Integrity
We monitor evolving environmental codes and industry advancements to maintain a proactive stance in our sustainability program. Powerwashco is committed to transparency, accountability, and measurable progress—because real sustainability requires more than intention. It requires infrastructure, discipline, and a long view. Powerwashco periodically reviews its field operations through internal audits and third-party consultations to verify environmental compliance and identify areas for improvement. This includes collaboration with environmental engineers and stormwater consultants where appropriate.
Voluntary Alignment with ESG and LEED Principles
While Powerwashco is not formally certified under ESG or LEED frameworks, our operational standards are designed to reflect the environmental, social, and governance expectations outlined in both. From our low impact material sourcing to our water and energy conservation initiatives, we aim to serve clients whose sustainability goals align with these global benchmarks. This alignment enables our services to support clients in maintaining environmentally responsible properties and participating in broader ESG or green building programs.
Crew Training and Environmental Awareness
All Powerwashco field technicians receive structured annual training on EPA guidelines, BMPs, and regional environmental codes. This ensures our team executes services with care, precision, and full understanding of the environmental impact.
Sustainable Supply Chain and Vendor Screening
We prioritize vendors and suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, including the use of recycled packaging, low VOC product formulations, and EPA compliant manufacturing standards. This ensures our environmental responsibility extends throughout the lifecycle of our services.
Post Service Reporting and Transparency
Powerwashco offers post service documentation upon request to support our clients’ internal sustainability tracking, compliance audits, or environmental reporting. Our reporting structure is designed to integrate with ESG workflows for commercial and institutional property managers.
